Scheduled Outage for the Cisco Phone System Upgrade

Summary

The Archdiocesan Cisco Phone System is being upgraded.

What is happening?

On Thursday evening June 8, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. OIT will be doing a major upgrade to the Cisco IP telephone system. This will include an upgrade to the voicemail system. During this timeframe the phones will reset and load new software which may take 20 to 40 minutes and there will be times when you will not be able to place or receive calls during the outage window.

What do I need to do?

Mostly things will be the same. There will be an updated voicemail system starting Thursday Night/Friday morning. Your greetings, PIN (password), call-in number and other settings will remain the same, so you will not have to update your account. When retrieving your voicemail, the interactive menus will be slightly different but the system will explain what the options are.

Please check our knowledge base for articles on setting up and using your voicemail.
