Completed: Scheduled Maintenance – Tonight 6/16/2018 @ 10pm EDT
What is Happening?
Our VMware Cloud Provider (vCloud), where a large percentage of our servers reside, is scheduling an emergency maintenance tonight 6/16/2018 at 10pm EDT. The outage is expected to last about 5 minutes. Primarily affected will be access to the financial systems and the Remote Desktop Gateway. None of the cloud based systems will be offline or rebooted, just access to them will be temporarily unavailable.
Technical Details
This outage is an attempt to correct the various intermittent cloud outages that have occurred over the past few weeks. vCloud engineers will be replacing their edge gateway server and upgrading their networking software to address the outage issues. Their engineers confirmed that our devices are configured correctly and no additional action needs to be taken on our part.
Update: 6/16/2018 7:44pm VMware says the outage may extend to 30 minutes. We will update this page with more information as we have it.
Update: 6/16/2018 10:23pm VMware has completed their work. Though it took a little longer than initially anticipated, we did not notice any downtime.
