The Office of Information Technology is working on a major upgrade to the phone system over the next few weeks. Please review the schedule of outages to see if you will be affected.
The Archdiocesan Cisco Phone System is being upgraded.
OIT will try to minimize inconveniences as best as possible
What is happening?
The Cisco phone system has been deployed in many sites across the Archdiocese and remains the premiere vendor and market leader of corporate telephony systems. However, like most computer based systems, it requires regular upgrades to remain modern and supported.
While the system is not at every site, some of these upgrades that we are doing may cause temporary network connection issues or interruptions in making or receiving calls to those on this system. Please review the schedule below to see if your location or a location you may contact will be affected.
As always, OIT will make every possible effort to complete the work quickly and with a minimal inconvenience to our user base.
Note: Though we have blocked out 2 hours per upgrade, the actual time needed should be far less.
