E-mail System Maintenance Planned for Wednesday

The Office of Information Technology is working on an upgrade to the e-mail system.


Wednesday, 10/11/2017 the e-mail system will be upgraded. Status: Upgrade Completed.

What is Happening?

On Wednesday. 10/11/2017 external access to https://owa.chs-adphila.org for both web browsers and cellphones may experience a brief interruption. The outage window will occur during the regular server patching window between 4:30pm and 6:00pm.

What Should I Expect?

There may be brief interruptions in access to e-mail during this window. If you are on our internal network, there should not be any interruptions.

Technical Details:

E-mail and external e-mail clients (like cellphones and web browsers) currently use the Lansdale datacenter to enter and exit our network. We will be migrating this entry and exit point to the North Wales datacenter where all the new and upgraded e-mail servers are located. Currently systems are in production at both datacenters so the transition mostly consists of the time it takes client devices to update themselves.
